Philosophistic values of teaching.

This essay aims to refer to a teacher as a philosopher. It explains the elements of teaching philosophy. I will be looking at beliefs of teaching and learning and discussing how i will be putting those beliefs into practice.

My goal as a teacher is to have a strategy that will make learners understand my teaching method and be able to recall information that I have implanted into their brains. Most of all is to have improved technology skills in a way that I can research some of my information from the internet. I must have multiple literacies and be able to use the computer(computer literate).

To be the best teacher I must have pedagogical perfection. I need to know how to present a lesson in a way that a learner will understand well. I must be able to go along with Lev Vygotsky theory of contextual where he used zone of proximal development as his part of thinking. Where he suggested that child has an actual knowledge and potential knowledge which a teacher has to fill with educational information. That helps me to accept and understand each learner as they are and accomodate them when preparing assignments, tests and examination. I need to learn more about learning so to give clear and understandable instructions. I should be an observing teacher so to know and understand my learners intellectal capacity and learning barriers.

My classroom management must be intact. That will bring positive energy into the classroom in that manner learners will be focused and most things will get done and on time. Firstly when managing the class I must build a relationship with each students and develop their communication skills that will help in the long run because they will not be afraid to ask questions and advices. My classroom should have different kinds of areas separeted. the ares should be reading area, blog and puzzle area, numaracy area etc. This will make the learning and teaching process to run smoothly without any disturbances. Learners will be able to give their full potential as the teacher will be giving the best education.

The most important goal is to be an organised teacher. Knowing where to find what and how that saves energy and a lot of time that can be spent doing worthwhile things. I can have a google calender that may help me with daily basis events like meetings, classes and birthdays. File must be organised well for management purposes whether by dates or names. Being organised also refers to teaching according to how the guides goes and teach valuable things that will benefit my students which they will be assessed on not things that will only occupy a lot  of space on their brains for nothing ending up confusing them and then cause them to underperform. I want to help children reach their full potential so they can think critically and creativly so.

Learning refers to a search of knowledge or skills through study or being taught. Teaching means having the authority to stand infront of someone provide them with information tell them its valuable. The process of learning to me is whereby a teacher teaches a student and expect him/her to learn and expect to be assessed. The process of learning happens when a learner concerntrate and allow information to stay in their brains. I must be a teacher who follows the ethics when working with children like respecting them equally and have confidentiality, integrity, fairness and give them protection.

I will like to be the teacher who give learners a chance to express their views sharing their experiences with others and explore their answers. I want children to develop problem-solving, listening,reading,social and language skills as well as other skills associated with education. Sharing with others showing them how much he/she knows will make the eagerness to learn more. I want to be a teacher who shows interest at what her learners are saying so to know their capacity of reasoning, thinking, explaining and evaluating which relates to manipulating data. Children enjoy learning when you involve them in your lessons giving them attention and recognition. I should be able to set a tone for a great learning environment.

The roles of a learner is to have great qualities. Must seriously take into consideration that learning is a great commitment. It requires hard work for it to go well and get profitable results in the end. Building knowledge must be a continuos process. Every learner must understand him/herself in terms of Howard Gardner multiple intelligencies (visual, musical, kineasthetic, mathematical and naturalistic).

The role of a teacher is to be a subject matter expect, knowing the subject that you are teacher very well which means you must have enough knowledge, skills, values, principles and procedures relevent to my field. Be a mediater who is always sensetive to the diverse needs of her students and having the ability to construct appropriate learning environment and demonstrate sound subject knowledge. A leader who manages her classroom activities, carry out administrative duties. Assessor who understands the importance of assessments and keep records of learners performance. The scholer, researcher and lifelong learner who is responsible to keep up to date with changing and new strategies. A teacher should be an interpreograms and materials as we are expected to understand and interpret existing learning pograms. The teachers community, citizenship and pastoral roles, the teacher must be a role model at school and surrounding areas.

Compentencies of a teacher should be teaching methology, knowledge of learning and teaching styles, effective communication multiple literacy about the 21.

Learning can be optimal when we use teaching aids, learning through movement(kineasthetic) learning through pictures(visual) and through sounds(auditory). Learning will be interesting if we had walls painted beatiful educational things on the wall. We can write papers and paste them on the wall they can be written on them months of the year, days of the week and other educational things.
